Burglar surrenders in San Dimas #LASD

Burglar surrenders in San Dimas #LASD

Kosmos Burgers in San Dimas is known for their delicious burgers. On Wednesday morning, someone came looking for something more.
Security cameras at the restaurant, in the 400 block of east Foothill Bl., captured video at about 3:40 a.m. of a woman breaking a window and prying open an office door. A review of the video helped identify a possible suspect, seen making repeated attempts to break the window with a rock, and using silverware and various implements to pry open the office door. The woman caused about $700 damage to the window and door, and stole approximately $800 cash from the office.

Detectives interviewed a woman as a possible suspect on the afternoon of January 22, 2014. She initially denied involvement in the crime. However, in the early morning hours of January 23, she voluntarily surrendered to deputies at San Dimas Sheriff’s Station and confessed to the crime. The suspect, identified as Jennica Salagubang, 23, of Pomona, was booked for Burglary, and held in lieu of $20,000 bail. She told investigators she was being evicted from her apartment, and needed money to pay her rent.
