Please be advised that in response to a winter storm, forecasts for heavy snowfall, and a wind chill advisory, Rutgers President Robert Barchi has: 1) ordered the cancellation of all classes on Rutgers campuses at the end of 4th period today and to resume tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22 at the beginning of third period; 2) he has also declared a Level 4 Weather Emergency Closure for all campuses beginning 3 PM today and concluding Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22, at 10 AM. Essential Service Employees are directed to remain at work or to report to work as scheduled during the period of this Level 4 Weather Emergency Closure, unless otherwise directed.
Non-Essential Employees shall not report for work during the period of a Level 4 Weather Emergency Closure. In addition, we recognize that weather conditions are different in different areas of the state. If employees desire to leave work today prior to 3 PM, they must receive approval from their immediate supervisor and charge appropriate accrued and available leave time for any work time missed.
