Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting death that occurred at approximately 8:32 PM Sunday, January 19, 2014, at the intersection of 20th Street West and West Avenue K, Lancaster.

Detectives have learned that Lancaster Station deputies responded to a call of a gunshot victim. The victim, a 25-30 year-old male, was reportedly sitting in the driver's seat of his vehicle while stopped at a red light, facing westbound on West Avenue K. The suspect pulled alongside the victim's vehicle and shot several rounds from a firearm at the victim. As the victim drove through the intersection, the suspect fired several more times at the victim.

The victim was struck multiple times in the upper torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, described only as male, and the murder weapon and are outstanding.
