The Monterey Park Police Department is proud to host the twenty third class of the Monterey Park Citizen's Academy. Classes begin at 6:15 PM on Thursday, January 16, 2014, in the Community Room (Rm. 102) at City Hall.

Citizens Academy is an exciting, dynamic and informative course that meets once a week for eleven weeks. It is designed to provide citizens with an interactive, hands-on, comprehensive overview of the Monterey Park Police Department and the City. Classes include an introduction to the Detective Bureau, K-9 units, Patrol Procedures, and other various department programs.
For an exciting and informative experience, participate in the next Citizens Academy class. The first class is held at the Community Room # 102, City Hall on Thursday, January 16, 2014 and ends on Thursday, March 27, 2014. Classes will take place every Thursday from 6:15 PM-9pm.

It's not too late to join! Applications can be picked up in the Monterey Park Community Relations Bureau at 320 West Newmark Avenue, Monterey Park or can be mailed to you. Minimum age of participants is 16 years; minors under the age of 18 years must have a signed parental consent form on file. Participants cannot have any felony convictions, be on parole or probation, or have been arrested for a misdemeanor within the past year.
