Weather Alert/Impending Snow Storm
School Alert: Check with your local school or Board of Education for school delays or closures.
Neighbors/Elderly: Be responsible and check on those needing additional assistance. Report all emergencies to the police department.
Food/Fuel: Check supplies including batteries, water food and fuel.
Borough Alert: In an effort to assist our Borough employees during the impending storm, the Borough would like to remind all residents of the following:
No parking on Borough Streets during active snow storms. The no parking ordinance will be enforced on all roadways and vehicles in violation will be towed.
Reminder, no snow is to be pushed or thrown into the borough roadways. Any and all violations of this kind will be issued a summons. All residents are reminded to notify their contractors. Residents will be held responsible if they violate this ordinance.
Reminder: All sidewalks need to be cleared within 24 hours of the completion of any storm.
Fire Hydrants: Residents who have hydrants located on their property are asked to help the volunteer fire department by clearing an area around the hydrant to ensure it is accessible in the case of an emergency.

* ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO 1 INCH OF ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE AFTER
MIDNIGHT THROUGH THE THURSDAY MORNING RUSH HOUR. ADDITIONAL
ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 7 INCHES IS FORECAST THURSDAY EVENING
THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 8 INCHES.
* WINDS...NORTH 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH.
* WIND CHILLS...15 BELOW ZERO TO AROUND ZERO FROM LATE THURSDAY

* IMPACTS...LIGHT SNOW COULD CAUSE TRANSPORTATION IMPACTS DURING
THE THURSDAY MORNING RUSH HOUR. BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL
PRODUCE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS. WIND CHILLS RANGING FROM 15
DEGREES BELOW ZERO T0 AROUND ZERO WILL MAKE IT FEEL EXTREMELY COLD.
