Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man on Sunday, December 22, 2013, in the 2000 block of Broderick Avenue,Unincorporated Monrovia.

Detectives have learned that at approximately 12:30 AM, deputies from the Temple Sheriff's Station responded to the location regarding a report of a person down. When deputies arrived, they found the victim on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound.

There is no suspect information.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
