The current forecast of a powerful storm impacting Northern Illinois this weekend continues to look more likely. Heavy rainfall, snow melting, frozen ground and ice covered streams all increase the potential for flooding.

There is a potential for rain to turn into freezing rain or snow sometime this evening and continue until Saturday. The current forecast places most of the activity north of Channahon, but that could change. Drive carefully and take necessary precautions.
