SUSPECT IN SEPTEMBER FATAL SHOOTING SOUGHT

(HOUSTON, TX) – HCSO investigators and members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force (GCVOFTF) need the public’s help in locating shooting suspect Jose Alejandro Perez, aka “Alex”.

Perez is considered an extremely dangerous felon and is wanted in connection to the September 28, 2013, shooting death of Shelly Wilson in the 2004 block of Fry Rd. in west Harris County.

Deputies found Wilson, 18, lying in the roadway next to his pickup truck. He had been shot and killed.

During the investigation HCSO homicide investigators learned Wilson was driving his pickup truck southbound on Fry Rd. and stopped at the intersection of Fry and Younglake Dr. There he encountered Jose Alejandro Perez in his 2010 black Ford F-150 pickup truck with two other unidentified occupants inside. Perez was stopped at the same intersection preparing to turn east on Younglake Dr. Wilson was shot at the intersection while engaged in a verbal exchange with Perez and the occupants inside Perez’s truck. The suspect then fled the scene.
