On Sunday, December 8, 2013, at approximately 1:05 P.M., a male adult bicyclist was travelling eastbound in the 22000 block of Mulholland Highway in the city of Calabasas, when he collided with a Sheriff’s patrol vehicle that was travelling in the same direction.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The deputy was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Traffic Services Detail is handling the accident investigation.
