Sonoma man arrested on drugs and weapons charges

On 12/04/2013, at approximately 7:30AM, Sonoma County Property Crime Detectives arrested Ryan Christopher Cordano, 21 years old, a resident of Sonoma, for a variety of drug and weapons charges. The case unfolded when detectives received information from a Confidential Informant that Ryan Cordano was in possession of narcotics for sale, and was selling drugs from his house, located in 18800 block of Serpilio Drive, in Sonoma. Detectives obtained a search warrant for Cordano’s residence and his vehicle. This morning at approx. 7:30AM, detectives saw Cordano leave his house and he was detained.

Detectives served the searched warrant at Cordano’s residence. Detectives searched Cordano’s bedroom, which was a converted garage. Detectives located two assault rifles, a sawed off shotgun, and one semi-auto handgun. Detectives also found two pounds of processed marijuana, a half ounce of heroin, currency, packaging material, and a digital scale.

Detectives located additional marijuana and a bottle of liquor inside Cordano’s 16 year old brother’s bedroom. The juvenile was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol and possession of marijuana.

Ryan Cordano was booked at the Sonoma County jail for Possession of Heroin for Sale, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, Possessing an Illegal Assault Weapon, Possession of a High Capacity Ammunition Magazine, and Possession of Narcotics while Armed. Cordano’s bail was set at $150,000.
