Armed Robbery at Subway Sandwich in Sonoma
On Saturday November 16, 2013 at approximately 2040 hours deputies from the Sonoma Police Department responded to the Subway Sandwich Shop in the 900 block of Broadway on a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival the clerk stated that a white male adult had entered the store wearing a black coat with a hood pulled up over his head. Upon entering, the suspect removed an assault type weapon from his jacket and pointed it at him, demanding all the money from the cash register. Once the clerk gave the suspect the contents of the register the suspect then demanded money from the safe. When the clerk told the suspect he didn't have the combination to the safe the suspect ordered the clerk to the ground and fled out a back door with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30's, medium build with brown unshaven facial hair. If anyone has any information regarding this case they are encouraged to contact the Sonoma Police Department at 707-996-3602.
