The Marion Police Department responded to the Budget Inn in reference to an unattended death of a man. 
On 11-11-2013 Marion Police officers responded to the Budget Inn located at 1814 North Main Street in reference to assisting the McDowell County EMS with a person who was lying on the floor of room 108. Upon arrival it was determined that George McKeithan, age 50 of Oklahoma was deceased. McKeithan was in town working as part of work crew contracted out by a cable company. The body will be sent for autopsy, due to the death being unattended. The cause of death is undetermined at this time. No foul play is suspected and this is not being treated as a crime scene. The next of kin for McKeithan has been notified.
