On 11/7/2013 at about 4:00 pm, a citizen was walking his dogs at Rincon Valley Community Park located at 5108 Badger Road, in Santa Rosa. His dogs alerted to something next to the fence, surrounding the Maria Carrillo High School baseball field. The citizen located a cloth bag, containing two semi-automatic handguns. Both handguns were loaded.
The citizen took the bag home and turned them over to his neighbor, who was a Sonoma County Deputy Sheriff.
One gun was a .40 Caliber Glock reported stolen out of Cloverdale. The investigation with the owner of the second handgun is continuing.
