On November 6, 2013 at about 11:40 P.M., officers responded to Perotta Pl., which is located in the South End of Burlington, for a report of a suspicious male with a flashlight looking in vehicles. Upon arrival in the area, the officers located a male subject who fitting the suspect description. The officers made contact with the male subject who was identified as Michael Rigley (age 27) of Burlington. The officers were able to identify Rigley as the male looking in vehicles and found him to be in possession of an electronic device, sunglasses, and other items that had recently been stolen from a vehicle in the area. Rigley was subsequently arrested for Possession of Stolen Property and lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Center for lack of bail. Rigley is currently on probation and has previous convictions for Possession of Stolen Property and Retail Theft. A photograph of Rigley is attached.
