Apple Valley teacher arrested for sexual relationship with a student.
Deputies responded to a report of an unlawful sexual relationship between a teacher and a student occurring outside of school grounds. The suspect was identified as a vocational class teacher at Granite Hills High School. The victim is a 17 year-old female who was a student at Granite Hills High School and had been in the suspect’s class for over a year. Through investigation, it was determined the suspect had become sexually involved with the minor which included visits to the victim's home and other contact outside of the classroom.
Based on the investigation, Gomez was arrested and booked on unlawful sexual intercourse, oral copulation, and penetration with a foreign object. Gomez is currently being held on $500,000 bail.
