The City of Kansas City, Mo., City Communications Office announces that the fall/winter issue of KCMOre magazine is now available online at www.kcmo.org/kcmore. Residents may read the newly redesigned KCMOre magazine in an interactive mobile-friendly format or in a printable PDF format.

KCMOre, the City’s biannual resident magazine, connects residents with their City government through articles highlighting the City’s innovations, healthy community initiatives, public safety, and economic/community development. New this issue, KCMOre features City employee profiles, allowing readers to get a closer, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the work that City employees complete. The fall/winter KCMOre issue also reflects the City’s new branding and graphics package.

To provide residents with compelling and informative content, KCMOre staff works with all City departments to learn about new services, innovations, recognitions and other topics that might interest or benefit residents. They also collaborate with staff to determine topics involving resident health and safety issues, such as synthetic drug information for parents and tips to prepare for snowy weather.

As a cost-savings measure, printed copies of KCMOre magazine have been mailed to targeted households only. City Communications staff reviewed the City’s annual Citizen Satisfaction Survey data, which asked residents how they preferred to receive City news. Printed copies of KCMOre were mailed to ZIP codes whose residents said they preferred printed City news on the survey.

Residents who have not received KCMOre and do not have Internet access may request a print copy by contacting the 311 Call Center at 311 or 816-513-1313.

KCMOre magazine was first published in fall/winter 2011 as an effort to enhance resident communication and engagement. KCMOre stands for “Kansas City, Missouri Resident Engagement.”
