On Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at 2pm, Investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Operation Safe Streets Bureau - Asian Gang Team executed a four-location search warrant after a two-month long illegal cultivation of marijuana investigation in Temple City, unincorporated community of Valinda, and city of Covina.

Over two hundred marijuana plants and cultivation equipment were seized from the residence at the 4800 block of Glickman Avenue in Temple City.
An AK-47 type assault rifle, and an AR-15 type assault rifle, along with a handgun, were seized from the residence located at the 100 block of Arbor Court in the city of Covina.
A second residence at the 4800 block of Glickman Avenue, Temple City, and a residence at the 16900 block of Pocono Street in the unincorporated LA County community of Valinda were also searched by investigators in connection with this investigation.

A total of four suspects were arrested on the day of the search operation. An additional three suspects were arrested the following day.
The arrested suspects were identified as:

Guan Yi Mei (29), Los Angeles
Ting Mo (22) , Temple City
Zhen Wei Huang (29), Rowland Heights
Man Lai Chon (31), Valinda
Hai Qian Zhang (24), Los Angeles
Le Sheng Zou (20), Los Angeles
Rueng Jian Chen (28), Duarte

One suspect is still outstanding. The identity of that suspect will not be released to the media at this time.

All suspects are believed have associations with the “Red Door” Asian Street gang.

All suspects were booked at Industry Sheriff’s Station for suspicion of Illegal Cultivation of Marijuana with a bail amount of $50,000 each. All the suspects are Chinese Nationals with the exception of Rueng Jian Chen, who is a Naturalized US Citizen.
