The Frankfort Police Department wants to warn everyone (especially business owners) about a new utility company scam. In this scam, the offender calls a business or resident and claims to be from a utility company. They even may use spoofing technology to make the caller ID come up as the utility company. The offender claims that the business or resident owes an outstanding amount on their utility bill and threatens to shut off their utilities if they do not pay their bill immediately. The Offender then tells the customer to avoid a utility shutoff the victim must purchase a green dot money pack to pay them.

Please mark your calendars for the Frankfort Police Department’s Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, October 26th from 11am-1pm in the Breidert Green Parking lot. This free family friendly event will allow children to dress up in their Halloween costumes and participate in our annual E.F. Bucko costume parade. Then, children can go trick-or-treating trunk to trunk. The trunks will be supplied by local businesses, organizations, and churches.
