Husband uses knife to hold wife captive in Victorville. 
At 2:08 P.M., a female victim was assaulted by her husband, Raymond Ortiz. Ortiz held her at home by knife point and refused to let her leave their home. Ortiz demanded the victim go to their children’s school and pull them out of school.
The victim left to pick up her children and took the opportunity to a fire station in Victorville who called 911. Deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Ortiz and located him several hours later at his residence. As deputies approached the home, they could see Ortiz inside.
Ortiz initially refused to comply with commands from deputies, but was taken ultimately taken into custody without incident. Ortiz was arrested and booked for false imprisonment, kidnapping, criminal threats and domestic violence charges.
