Joshua Tree - Suspect arrested for Murder

INCIDENT: Homicide Investigation
LOCATION: 63000 block of Pole Road, Joshua Tree
SUSPECT: Gregory Allen Dominguez, age 45 of Joshua Tree
VICTIM: Lionel Blankenship, age 50 of Joshua Tree
On Sunday, October 6, 2013, at about 2:20 a.m. deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station responded to the 63000 block of Pole Road, for the report of a stabbing. When deputies arrived they located the victim, Lionel Blankenship, near the roadway deceased from a stab wound. Deputies detained Gregory Dominguez nearby and requested the assistance of the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail. After processing the crime scene and interviewing witnesses, detectives booked Dominguez for murder at the Morongo Basin Detention Center.
