Marina Del Rey Sheriff's Station Invites YOU to Join Us: Prevent Identity Theft- SafeShred: Sat,Oct.5,2013; 9am-2pm

To our Los Angeles County Community. It’s that time again.

Marina Del Rey Sheriff’s Station Invites You to come Join Us in Preventing Identity Theft. This Sat. Oct 5, 2013, from 9am-2pm, Marina Del Rey Community Relations Unit is Teaming up with SafeShred Company to shred and dispose on site all your confidential documents.

Identity theft is the fastest growing form of consumer fraud in North America. Community members can protect themselves by regularly destroying confidential and personal documents rather than disposing of them in non-secure places such as garbage bins. The Community Shred-it Event is the perfect place to shred documents safely and securely while helping some amazing charities.

To prevent personal identity theft, Shred-it advises to shred the following sensitive documents and old files:
• Receipts (Credit & Debit Card Receipts)
• Checks
• Pre-approved Credit Applications / Credit Card Statements / Bank Statements
• Outdated Tax Returns
• Envelopes & Return Address Labels
• Business Cards

This is a fundraising event. Your generous donations for this safe and convenient document disposal will help Special Olympics of Los Angeles, Marina Del Rey Youth Activities League (YAL), Marina Del Rey Explorers, and all of our Charitable Giving Endeavors.

When: Saturday, October 5th, 2013
Time: 9AM – 2PM
Where: Ladera Center,  5315 West Centinela Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90045
(Ralphs, Ross, CVS,TGIF Fridays Parking Lot)
