On 10/01/13, at approximately 7:49 PM, the Burlington Police and Burlington Fire Department were dispatched to a report of a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle.
The pedestrian was struck on Main Street near St. Paul Street, by a vehicle that fled the scene. The VICTIM sustained substantial injuries and is still being treated by Fletcher Allen Health Care.
The vehicle is described as a possibly blue or black Volkswagen Jetta (hatchback model) or Subaru Legacy (hatchback model). Possible suspect plates include variations of “BLB” and “RGB”, on a NON VERMONT, WHITE license plate with dark lettering.
Anyone with information about the suspect vehicle, or who has information about this incident, INCLUDING WITNESS THAT LEFT THE SCENE, is asked to call the police department and speak to Officer Kim Shelley at 802-540-2292.
