On September 21, 2013, Carson Station Deputies arrested a Suspect for possession of counterfeiting equipment and drug paraphernalia. The Suspect was booked at Carson Station for Counterfeit Access Cards, Altered Access Cards, Access Card Marking Equipment, Forgery of Public or Corporate Seals, Possession of Scanning Devices, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.



On September 25, 2013, Carson Station Detectives served several search warrants on the residences of the Suspect in the cities of Long Beach and Garden Grove. Upon searching the residence in Garden Grove, detectives found a large amount of counterfeiting equipment, encoders, counterfeit credit cards, computer equipment, counterfeit military identification cards, embossing equipment, credit card readers, and forged public seals. The Suspect had setup for a large scale counterfeiting arrangement. Detectives collected and booked the evidence at Carson Station.



This investigation brings to light the need for the public to understand and defend themselves against identity theft, counterfeiting, and forgeries. The community is reminded to immediately notify their local police/sheriff agencies if they believe their identity has been compromised. This is also a reminder for the public to be vigilant in defending themselves against these crimes by continually checking their credit reports and bank institution documents for discrepancies.
