Compton Station has continued to make strides in building a better relationship with the residents of Compton. As part of our on-going efforts, Compton Station has implemented the “Town Sheriff Program.” The Town Sheriff Program consists of having a lead deputy (Town Sheriff) assigned to each of our four council districts, along with a special assignment deputy.
• The idea of having a Town Sheriff is to have an officer who would become more familiar and recognizable in the community, thus building a stronger relationship with residents.

• The Town Sheriff will liaison with the assigned district councilmember and attend the councilmember’s monthly district meeting.

• The Town Sheriff and the special assignment deputy will be immediately available to address the majority of the quality of life issues that affect each district.

• The Town Sheriff and the special assignment deputy will be able to provide feedback and better communication with the councilmember and stakeholders.
