On Sunday, 9/2213 at 12:46AM, deputies responded to “Nate’s Liquor” in the 2800 block of West Alondra Boulevard in the city of Compton in response to a shooting victim at the location.

When they arrived they discovered the victim, a male Black, 32 years old, seated in the driver’s seat of his car suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to witnesses, the victim and his friend had just parked in front of the liquor store. The victim remained inside his car while his friend went inside the store to purchase some alcohol. While seated in the car the suspect, a male Black, wearing a hoodie type sweat jacket, walked up to the car and shot the victim.

The suspect then ran east across the parking lot and got into a dark colored car. The suspect’s car then drove off north on McKinley Avenue.

The suspect is still outstanding and the murder weapon has not been recovered.
