Burglary Advisory 9/17/13. A residential burglary was reported this morning in the High Ridge section of S.R. It occurred over night while the home was occupied. The alarm system was not on during the break in and windows were left wide open. A ladder was also left available on the property. Residents are advised to use their alarm system and report anything suspicious. The following tips will reduce your chances of becoming a victim;
 Leave interior and exterior lights on when you are not home, to make your home appear occupied.
 Leave a television or radio on inside your home.
 Please remove jewelry and valuables from the bedrooms.
 Remove safes from the master bedroom and their closets.
 If you have an alarm system, use it.
 Lock all doors and windows. We find many unlocked doors.
 Remove mail and newspapers from your driveway the day they are delivered.
