Main Street Bridge demo closes I-670 - 9/13 to 9/16 
I-670 on the south side of the Downtown Loop will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 through 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16 for demolition of the Main Street Bridge.
The closure will detour I-670 traffic to the west, north and east sides of the Downtown Loop. The ramps from Broadway to eastbound I-670, from northbound and southbound Route 71 to westbound I-670 and from northbound and southbound I-35 to eastbound I-670 will be closed during this weekend work.
From Monday, Sept. 16, through Nov. 4, the right lanes of both eastbound and westbound I-670 near the Main Street Bridge will be closed at times for bridge work. The new Main Street Bridge, a Kansas City Public Works project, is expected to be completed by early November.
