Criminal Homicide/Murder Investigation
Arrest Warrant – First Degree Murder

The Southern Pines Police Department announces a Criminal Homicide/Murder investigation. On Thursday, September 12, 2013 at approximately 11:00 pm the Southern Pines Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of Coats Street located in the Brookside Park Apartment complex. Upon arrival of the first responding patrol officers, a large crowd was observed along with a deceased male lying in a small grass area adjacent to a parking lot that appeared to have fallen victim to a gunshot wound. The victim has been identified as Tyrone Terry Allmond, 33 years of age, whose last known address was in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

Officers from the Pinehurst Police Department, Moore County Sheriff’s Office and Aberdeen Police Department were called to assist the Southern Pines Police Department with crowd control and other activities associated with securing the crime scene.

As a result of an investigation conducted by the Southern Pines Police Department’s Patrol and Investigation Divisions, a suspect has been identified in this homicide. The Southern Pines Police Department is seeking the assistance of the public in locating Carlouse (aka Carlos) Latour Allbrooks, black male, thirty-one years old, 5’9”, 170 lbs., medium build, medium complexion, black hair and brown eyes whose last known address was in Southern Pines, North Carolina. A warrant is on file for Carlouse (aka Carlos) Latour Allbrooks charging him with First Degree Murder.
