SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Sheriff’s Narcotics Division Marijuana Enforcement Team and deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station served a search warrant at 61624 Neptune Drive in Landers. The residents James Hubbard Sr., and James Hubbard Jr., were in the home when the investigators arrived. The eight (8) additional suspects were at the residence assisting with harvesting and processing of the marijuana.

Investigators discovered a large marijuana cultivation in the rear yard of the residence. The plants were surrounded by a standard wooden fence. A total of 174 mature and budding plants, ranging from 3 to 5 feet tall were seized. ONE-HUNDRED POUNDS of processed marijuana was also located. The investigation revealed this was an illegal marijuana operation, which was not in compliance with California medical marijuana laws. The amount of marijuana being processed and the evidence seized at this location clearly indicated the suspects were conducting an illegal operation with no regard for state marijuana laws. Officers from San Bernardino County Code Enforcement assisted with the violation of the county ordinance

In addition to the marijuana, investigators located 2 grams of cocaine and a .22 caliber rifle.
