Car Music leads to Pursuit

On September 11th, 2013, Morgan Hill Police Officers arrested Brandon Harrell 23, of San Jose, for evading an officer, resisting arrest and a felony warrant. Officers were dispatched to the area of Del Monte Ave. and Preservation Way on a report of loud music coming from a Lexus. As Morgan Hill Officers arrived on scene, the vehicle fled to an address on the 15000 block of Del Monte Ave. As Morgan Hill Officers caught up to the vehicle three occupants fled into a house. Officers learned of a no bail warrant associated to the registered owner of the vehicle. Officers questioned two of the three occupants at the residence, both were uncooperative. Police conducted surveillance on the vehicle for approximately one hour, at 1 am the Lexus was seen leaving the residence. Morgan Hill Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver of the vehicle led officers on a high speed pursuit to San Jose where the suspect fled on foot on Aborn Rd. The suspect was unable to outrun the officers and was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.



Morgan Hill Police Department wants to remind citizens to report suspicious activity and their neighborhood. Keeping the City of Morgan Hill safe is a joint effort between the citizens and the police department.
