McDonald's Robbery Update - Suspect Arrested

On August 28, 2013 at about 0300 hours, an unknown suspect robbed the Pimlico McDonald’s restaurant through the drive through window. The suspect was wearing white cloth gloves and a full face white mask armed with what appeared to be a small caliber revolver. The suspect forced three employees into the office and demanded money from the safe. Once the safe was open the suspect ordered the employees into the freezer and told them not to come out for 30 minutes. The suspect was described as a possible Hispanic male; about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken. No one was hurt during the robbery. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Pleasanton Police Department.

On 9-5-13, Pleasanton Police Detectives received a call from the San Mateo Police Department regarding a similar robbery that occurred in San Mateo on 9-2-13 at around 10:34 p.m. The suspect in this case entered the restaurant and pointed a revolver at employees, ordered them into the freezer and then held the manager at gunpoint while ordering him to open the cash register. The suspect stole cash from the register and fled the scene in a dark colored PT Cruiser. The suspect was later apprehended and provided a full confession to committing this robbery in San Mateo. The suspect, 42 year old, Felix Becerra, is the manager for the Pleasanton McDonald’s located on Pimlico Dr. Pleasanton Police Detectives contacted Becerra in the San Mateo County Jail where he confessed to robbing the Pleasanton McDonald’s on 8-28-13. Becerra is currently being held at the San Mateo County Jail and criminal charges will be sought through the Alameda County District Attorney’s office against Becerra for committing the robbery in Pleasanton.
