Most people keep extremely valuable items in safes, such as cash, jewelry, important documents and firearms. Most people fail to secure their safes to walls and floors, making it extremely easy for thieves to walk out with them.
If you own a safe, make sure it is secured to the floor. Most instruction manuals that came with your home safe have directions for securing your safe to the floor or wall. Additional instructions can be found online and in home improvement stores.
