On Thursday, September 5, 2013, Lomita Sheriff's Station deputies will unveil their new Emergency Command Post Trailer, which was purchased by the cities of Lomita, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills Estates, and Rolling Hills.

The 26-foot, self-contained, Cargomate “Eliminator Trailer” will serve as a dynamic command post and it will be used as needed during emergencies. It will also enhance both the quality and productivity of services provided to the communities policed by the Lomita Sheriff's Station.

Lomita Sheriff’s Station polices the Cities of Lomita, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, and Rolling Hills Estates, as well as the unincorporated communities of Academy Hill, La Rambla, Palos Verdes Peninsula, and Westfield.

The trailer features a 5500-watt generator, full bathroom, briefing room, three person work station, double-sided awning, outdoor flood lights, side-service window and a fold-down rear access ramp. The total cost of the trailer was approximately $40,000.00.

Captain Blaine Bolin will host the presentation on Thursday, September 5, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Lomita Sheriff's Station, 26123 South Narbonne Avenue, Lomita (rear parking lot). The public is welcome to attend.
