Traffic collision in Rancho Cucamonga injures two.
On September 1, 2013, at about 1515, Adrian Manrique was driving north on Archibald Avenue in the #1 lane. Manrique reached 6th street and stopped for a red light at the limit line. Lynette Gray was also driving north on Archibald in the #1 lane, and was behind Manrique. As Gray approached 6th Street she took her eyes off of the road to check on her child who was crying in the rear seat of her car. Because of this, Gray did not see Manrique stopped in front of her at the light and the front of Gray's Jeep struck the rear of Manrique's Mazda. The force of the impact pushed Manrique's Mazda forward and it came to rest north of the intersection next to the west curb. Gray’s Jeep also continued through the intersection and came to rest along the east curb. The collision caused major damage to both vehicles.
All parties involved in the collision were transported to the hospital. Manrique sustained serious head trauma in the collision. He was air lifted to LLUMC where is in surgery and his condition is unknown. Gray sustained minor injuries and was treated and released. Gray's four month old child was not injured.
