Two Perish in House Fire
(Mountain Ranch, CA) On August 28, 2013 at approx. 1:00 am Calaveras County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 8000 block of Mountain Meadows Drive in Mountain Ranch for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival they found a single family home fully engulfed in flames, and were advised that two adults may have been trapped inside the home. Sheriff’s Detectives and arson investigators from Cal Fire responded to investigate the incident. During the investigation they found two deceased persons inside the home. This incident is still under investigation, and a cause of the fire has yet to be determined. For details on the investigation contact Cal Fire.
