Two Arrested on Fountain County Warrants

Fountain County-Yesterday evening two Troopers from the Lafayette State Police Post arrested two subjects from Montgomery County on two felony warrants and two misdemeanor warrants for Theft and Criminal Trespass. The warrants were out of Fountain County Court..

Troopers Nathan Hampton and Nelson Davis served warrants on Justin Wayne Hardy, 24 years old, and Levi A. Golladay, 29 years old, both of Crawfordsville, each for Theft a Class D Felony and Criminal Trespass a Class A Misdemeanor. Warrants stem from an investigation started on April 15th of this year by Trooper Hampton which revealed the subjects had entered property in Fountain County marked with no trespassing signs by opening a gate, driving into the lot and removing the scrap metal.

On May 10th of this year it had appeared the subjects again had entered the property without permission and purportedly took an old front end loader from a farm tractor and other scrap metal. After further investigation by Trooper Hampton and information given by witnesses, a complete report was made and forwarded to the prosecutor of Fountain County. Fountain County Prosecutor, Terry Martin, reviewed the information and obtained warrants for three individuals. Both Golladay and Hardy were arrested last evening. A third suspect has been charged with Felony Theft and Misdemeanor Criminal Trespass. That suspect is still at large. The investigation is continuing.

Hardy was taken to Fountain county Jail and Golladay was taken to Montgomery County Jail because of Fountain County Jail being of maximum capacity.

Assisting with the case are the Fountain County Prosecutor’s office and Troopers C. J. Gum and Nelson Davis. This is all the information that will be released at this time.
