MARCH FOR JUSTICE IN HONOR OF MURDERED SHERIFF'S EXPLORER ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 28, 2013, AT 6:00 PM

In the early morning hours of August 28, 2011, Cesar Rodriguez and Larry Villegas were killed on the 11800 block of Painter Avenue in Unicorporated South Whittier as the result of a callous drive-by shooting. Cesar, at the time of his death, was an active member of the Norwalk Sheriff’s Station Explorer Program who had just recently applied to become a Deputy Sheriff.

Family, friends, neighbors and members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will come together to march in honor of Cesar to bring public awareness to the second anniversary of this senseless crime and ask for the public’s help to bring the suspect(s) to justice and bring some peace to the victim’s families.

The march will begin on August 28, 2013 at 6:00 PM at the intersection of Laurel Avenue and Beaty Avenue, unincorporated Whittier and will be led by the Norwalk Sheriff’s Station Explorer Color Guard. The march will conclude a short time later at Amelia Mayberry Park located at 13201 Meyer Road, unincorporated Whittier.
