White Street Closure in Downtown Frankfort
During Fall Fest 2013
The Village of Frankfort would like to remind residents and visitors to this year’s Fall Fest that White Street will be closed beginning Saturday morning and will re-open on Monday evening during the annual Labor Day festival in downtown Frankfort. No traffic will be allowed to pass between Elwood and Nebraska on White Street for those three days. Signage will be posted beginning this week notifying drivers of the change.
The elimination of vehicular traffic on White Street will increase safety for all those attending the annual event or traveling through the Village during the annual festival.
Police and ESDA personnel will be positioned on White Street, Route 45 and Nebraska Street to assist residents and visitors during the Fall Fest. Reminder only vehicles with a Frankfort village sticker will be allowed E/B Nebraska from Rt. 45 during Labor Day Weekend.
We ask all residents to advise their friends and neighbors who visit Frankfort during the fest of this change so everyone can have a safe and fun weekend.
