(Update) Stabbing Death Investigation, 1400 blk Gloriosa Av., Rowland Heights, LASD Homicide (Log 202)

Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a 29-year-old male Hispanic, which occurred in the 1400 block of Gloriosa Avenue, Rowland Heights, on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at 1:26 AM.

The victim has been identified as Benjamin Cervantes, a resident of Rowland Heights. He was stabbed by his sister's boyfriend, Albert Camacho, male Hispanic in his 30's, a resident of the City of Ontario.

Detectives have learned that the suspect and the victim were involved in an argument which escalated with the suspect stabbing the victim several times in the upper torso.

The suspect fled the scene but was arrested and booked for murder at Walnut Sheriff's Station today, August 17, 2013, at approximately 12:00 PM.

Sheriff's Homicide Detectives are not releasing the suspect's booking photo at this time.

NARRATIVE:
Sheriff's Homicide detectives are en route to the 1400 block of Gloriosa Avenue, Rowland Heights to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a male adult.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There is no further information available at this time.
