At approximately 9:30 am this morning Burlington Police and Fire Departments were called to the shoreline behind the Harborwatch condominiums in Burlington for a report of a body that had been found. First responders found a man, partially in the water and partially on the rocks at the shoreline, deceased.
He has been tentatively identified as a 39-year-old man from Burlington. His name is not being released pending notification of family members.
The cause and manner of death are not yet known. An autopsy is to be performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later today or early tomorrow.

Police have identified the victim as 39-year-old Gregory Peruzzi of Burlington. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has preliminarily ruled his death occurred as a result of drowning. While foul play is not suspected at this time it is essential to conduct a thorough investigation, which is ongoing. Anyone with information about Mr. Peruzzi’s whereabouts or activities over the past two days is asked to call Burlington Police at 802-658-2704.
