ATTENTION RESIDENTS OF:
George Street (Berdan Avenue to Fair Lawn Avenue)
Berdan Avenue (River Road to 20th Street)
Roosevelt Place
Rosewood Place
30th Street (Broadway to Raphael Street)
Mandon Place at Leslie Place

As part of the Borough’s continuing program to improve roadways, several streets are scheduled for milling (asphalt removal) and resurfacing (paving). Please be aware you may encounter delays in your commute time during the milling and paving operations. While the actual paving portion of the operation is underway it will be necessary to entirely close the street to traffic. Duration and timing of a paving project are difficult to predict. Please pay particular attention to the posted no parking signs for noted changes.

The following is the intended schedule:

Milling (asphalt removal) will commence on Monday August 12, 2013 on George Street from Berdan Avenue to Fair Lawn Avenue and Berdan Avenue from River Road to 20th Street. Milling will continue on Tuesday August 13, 2013 on 30th Street from Broadway to Raphael Street including Warrant Point School, Thomas Jefferson School, Milnes School and the intersection of Mandon Place and Leslie Place. It is anticipated that the milling will be completed by 5:00 PM each day. Roads will remain open during milling however; delays, detours and restrictions will exist.

Resurfacing (paving) the following Streets on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and 5:30 P.M., weather permitting:
•George Street from Berdan Avenue to Fair Lawn Avenue
•Berdan Avenue from River Road to 20th Street

Paving will continue on Thursday August 15, 2013 and Friday August 16 between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and 5:30 P.M., weather permitting:
•Completion of Berdan Avenue (if needed)
•30th Street from Broadway to Raphael Street
•Warren Point School Parking Lot, Thomas Jefferson School Parking Lot, and the Henry Milnes School Parking Lot
•Intersection of Mandon Place and Leslie Place

Date changes will be noted on the street posting signs. Inclement weather will delay paving time and or dates. Any unfinished street paving will commence on the next posted day.

During PAVING, vehicles “WILL NOT” be permitted to enter or leave the areas being resurfaced. Sections of the street will be posted for “No Parking” on the day prior to paving. Please move your vehicle(s) out of the posted area to a nearby street prior to the commencement of work scheduled for 7:30 A.M. Please consider outlying streets for parking. Overnight parking restriction enforcement in these areas will be not be enforced by the Police for this project. Roads will be reopened to traffic at the completion of daily work. Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.

VEHICLES PARKED IN THE POSTED "NO PARKING" AREA WILL BE TOWED BY THE POLICE AT OWNER’S EXPENSE.
