Join Us For National Night Out , Tues, Aug. 6 – America’s Night Out Against Crime Neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles County are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide, for the "30th Annual National Night Out" crime & drug prevention event on Tues, Aug. 6, 2013.

“National Night Out”, is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and co-sponsored locally by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. It will involve more than 10,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities & military bases around the world. More than 34 million people are expected to participate.

Altadena Will be celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, with a BBQ at Loma Alta Park (3330 Lincoln Ave., Altadena, CA) from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. For more information please contact Altadena Sheriff Station at (626) 798-1131.

Avalon Will be celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, with information booths, Mc Gruff the crime dog and free popcorn on Front St. in front of the Pier from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. For more information please contact Deputy Miguel Orellana at (310) 510-0174.

Bellflower Will be celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, with several block parties to include a gathering at Caruthers Park (10500 E. Flora Vista St., Bellflower, CA) from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. For more information please contact Sergeant James Jobling at (562) 925-0124.

Carson Will be celebrating National Night Out on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, with a community gathering at the Carson Sheriff’s Station. There will be information booths, food and prizes. For more information please contact Sergeant Damon Jones at (310) 830-1123.

Century Will be celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, with the YAL Dance team, Aztec Dancers and Supervisor Mark Ridley Thomas at the Century Station YAL (7901 Compton Ave, Compton, CA). For more information please contact Deputy Marcus Cox at 323-586-7250.

Compton Will be celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, with kid’s jumper, games and face painting at the Gateway Towne Center (1621 S. Alameda St., Compton, CA). For more information please contact Deputy Nick Aguirre at (310) 605-6500.

Crescenta Valley Will be celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, with personnel from California Highway Patrol, Los Angeles County Fire Department and local community leaders. They will gather in the parking lot of the Ralph’s Fresh Air Market (2675 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta, CA) from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
