“Our patrol officers, detectives and the gang officer have been working hard to bring this investigation to a successful close. It’s with our strong partnership with this community and law enforcement that is really helping our residents to come forward with vital information on these types of cases. Gang members should feel totally unwelcome and uncomfortable in this community” - Chief David Westrick.

This successful investigation was conducted in support of the City of Hollister's Safe Communities and Neighborhoods project and is funded through the Board of State and Community Corrections CAL GRIP grant program. This grant supports Hollister Police Department to combat gang related incidents, and also to educate the community and parents of children who may be susceptible to gang influence.
