On July 26th, 2013 the Pleasanton Police Department concluded the investigation into this fatal traffic collision on June 9th with the arrest of the driver, 18 year-old Cody Matthew Hall of Pleasanton. The criminal investigation was recently submitted to the Alameda County District Attorney’s office, where a criminal complaint was sought against Mr. Hall. He was charged with one count of 192 (C) (1) of the California Penal Code (Vehicular Manslaughter-Felony) and one count of 23103 (A) of the California Vehicle Code (Reckless Driving-Felony). Mr. Hall surrendered to Pleasanton Police Detectives this evening at the Pleasanton Police Department and he was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
