On July 23, 2013, just before 7:00 PM, Nathanial Binder was safely located in Oakland. Police determined that Binder was not missing as originally reported by his father. The boy's father was not aware of his whereabouts when he filed a missing person's report with police.
BACKGROUND: Missing 9 Year Old Boy
The Oakland Police Department requested assistance from the media and the public in locating a missing 9 year old boy.
On July 23, 2013, at about 11:30 AM, Nathanial Binder was last seen at home by his family. He is reported to be in good mental and physical condition, and has no history of being reported as missing or running away. Binder’s father told the police he and his son argued earlier, because he would not allow his son to wear a new pair of sneakers.
Nathanial Binder is a male Caucasian, 9 years of age, 4’6, 110 pounds, blonde hair, and blue eyes.
