City of Rosemead's Community Safety Meeting focus on Crime Prevention.

CRIME PREVENTION: AREA HOME AND VEHICLE CRIME TREND ANALYSIS

The City of Rosemead Public Safety Department is hosting its monthly Community Safety Meeting on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Rosemead Public Safety Center, 8301 Garvey Avenue. At this meeting, participants will learn the importance of “hardening the target” so that residents do not become the next victim of a residential or vehicle burglary.

Deputy Farley from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Rosemead Special Assignment Team, will provide an update on home and vehicle burglaries that have occurred in Rosemead between April 2013 and June 2013 and current crime trends in the San Gabriel Valley.

In addition, the workshop will provide tips on how to safe guard your homes and vehicles and how to stay alert to discourage burglars from victimizing our community. This is a free workshop and everyone is welcome. This workshop is highly recommended for all Block Captains, block groups, school officials, business owners, and concerned residents.

These monthly Community Safety Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month. The program is part of the Public Safety Department’s continued efforts to promote personal and neighborhood safety.
