Closure planned starting July 15 as part of OR 6 at Wilson River Loop Project
TILLAMOOK—A contractor working for the Oregon Department of Transportation will close the section of Wilson River Loop Road between OR 6 (Wilson River Highway) and Third Street in Tillamook starting on July 15. The closure is to allow for reconstruction of the road as part of the OR 6 at Wilson River Loop Road Project.
The contractor is planning to have the road open in time for the Tillamook County Fair that starts on Wednesday, August 7.
The project consists of rebuilding the roadway at the intersection of OR 6 and Wilson River Loop Road just east of Tillamook. The project is scheduled to be completed in October, 2013.
Motorists are reminded that law enforcement is enforcing the speed limit through the work zone area and that fines are double in work zones. Motorists are urged to slow down and proceed with caution through the construction zone.
