West Point Suspicious Death Determined to be a Homicide

(West Point, CA) On July 9, 2013 Calaveras Sheriff’s Office investigators responded to a residence on the 200 block of Stanley Road in West Point for a report of two adults who were found unconscious and bleeding. One of the adults, a 45 year old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second adult, a 37 year old woman, was taken to an area hospital. Calaveras Sheriff’s investigators have determined that the death of the man was homicide. It is unclear at this time what the relationship was between the two adults. This investigation is fluid and on-going, and investigators continue to conduct interviews and process the scene for evidence. Additional details will be provided through a Sheriff’s Office press release when available and appropriate in order to preserve the integrity of the investigation.
