Altadena Sheriff's conducting TEEN CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training

Altadena Sheriff's Station will be conducting a TEEN CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training beginning Tuesday, July 9th, 2013 at Farnsworth Park. Training is from 6:00pm - 9:30pm. Farnsworth Park is located at 568 E. Mount Curve Ave., Altadena.

As a teen, there are probably a lot of things you've been told you can't do. But there is one very important thing you can do: Learn to protect yourself, your family, and your friends in case of a disaster. Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, is a national program of volunteers trained in disaster preparedness and emergency response. Volunteers come from all ages and all walks of life, including teenagers!

Teen CERT training teaches you about the potential disasters that could affect your area and how to safely and responsibily respond to them.

Through Teen CERT you can serve your community and help take care of your school and home.
