300lbs of Illegal fireworks seized in the City of Palmdale 
On the 4th of July, Palmdale Station’s Partners against Crime (PAC) team responded to 112 firework disturbance calls and wrote 34 citations for illegal fireworks. Throughout the evening the PAC Team seized 300lbs of illegal fireworks in the City of Palmdale.
While responding to firework disturbance calls deputies wrote one citation for trespassing and arrested 20 year-old Texas resident Deshon Manly for possession of Metal Knuckles. Manly was arrested in the 38500 block of 11th Street East in the City of Palmdale. He was transported and booked at the Palmdale Sheriff Station on charges of possessing Metal Knuckles. Manly is being held on $20,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, July 8th at the Antelope Valley Court House.
The Palmdale Sheriff Station would like to remind the residents of Palmdale discharging fireworks on Tuesday, July 5th after 12:00pm will subject the violators to fines. To report illegal fireworks anonymously, please call the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station at 661-272-2400.
